Nokia C1-01 is a good choice for Style! It's a Personal Review!

March 19, 2011 at 1:22 AM, Philippine Time :This is my personal review about Nokia C1-01 mobile phone. Last week I went to Greenhills to cell my old phone, LG Qviewty since I don't need much wifi and carrying a touchscreen phone on the streets is a big No No for me for touchphones are hot to other's naked eye! You might never, someone been grabbing it while texting or doodling for FB. Well, I've got no complains to Qviewty since it's techy and camera's resolution is 8 MP. I just need a new one and my bet is small yet with style and elegance. So I say goodbye to Qviewty in exchange of small amount of Php6,000. Though not so happy with the exchnaged price, i've given it up. As I walked amongst the stalls of retailers, offering their phones and asking me if i have something to sell, something caught my attention. I really don't know why but I like the size, edges but most of all the body color! So I asked the lady, what phone is that? The dark blue one?. She replied, "Ma'am Nokia C1 po yan! Gusto nyo po bago po yan." The lady removed the phone from the shelf and give it to me. "Mura lang po yan ma'am. Brand new po." So I asked. "Php2,800 lang po yan," she responded to me. After carefully looking on it and decided to hand out the exact bills asked for. Then, I went home holding the new phone in my hand.

Are you wondering why I bought it? Well, let me tell you the reasons. I love the size of it. SmalMl, just right to hold with one hand like Nokia 2700. But don't get me wrong since Nokia 2700 is a lot thin compared to it. Style? Superb! Love it! It is tri-colored phone! What it is then? The body of Nokia C1-01 has three sets of color, such as white, pinkish red and bloody red. Color? Excellent! Why? Matte glossy finish! What could I asked for more! Red color is bloody yet matte finish and glossy. Aside from that, phones theme is also full of colors. Love it! Memory is also expandable since it  has a memory slot. Keypads? Soft to touch for sms.

Other than its body and style? Nokia C1-01 is not a wifi ready mobile phone but you may surf the internet through your local provideers. Here in the Philippines, you may be able to surf the net with Globe's or Smart's Unlimited FB or web access. Aside from its capability of accessing the web, this phone has pre installed Opera Mini 4 browser which will allow you to surf the internet faster than the usual mobile browser. Opera Mini?!, I couldn't asked for more. You're great for any mobile phones as long as it's supported. What I love the most about Nokia C1-01 is the scrolling up and down of images you've stored in it. The music and sould quality also is good.

Enough with the good stuff. What's  the bad news then? If you love to take pictures and love to capture a moment, this phone is not the right one for you. It's camera is only VGA and it has no flash at all. So you may be able to get  good image in daytime. Anything else I can think of... None!

To whom should I recommend this? If you're thrifty, but need style and fashion but with some edge to it, this is for you. If you're daugther 10 year old daugther is asking for a mobile phone and begging it as a gift to her on her birthday or any special occassion, this phone is the right choice for her. She'll definitely love it and you will not have to worry of having it snatched or be lost since this phone will not cost you lots of money. This is enough for her to surf the internet or FB for short time and of course, you're source of communicate. Believe me when she's holding and strutting it out to classmate, she's smilling wide up to the ear. I remember when I was 12 years old before when my dad gave me his Motorola phone (the fliptone version with antenna), I feel like a star while holding it out since I am the only one in the class who has mobile phone. Wink!
