Skype System is Down and Affecting Many Users Around the World!

As millions of users around the world rely so much to the importance of communication, Skype, as one of the leading source, is currently down. According to one Skype blogger, more than 10 million people around the globe are affected by this phenomenon. This significantly shows that Skype indeed is an essential part of every personal and business entities around the world!

What is the impact of this event to the users?

According to one of the bloggers named Om, “Skype is one of the key applications of the modern web. It is already a hit with consumers, and over past few years it has become part of the economic fabric for startups and small businesses around the world. I am not sure we can comprehend the productivity cost of this outage.” While another user mentioned, "Skype is an important tool.  And to me, if I could only choose Facebook or Skype, I would choose Skype every single time. Skype is how I communicate with my close friends and colleagues more than I ever will using Facebook." Another was even clueless about what is happening as she stated that, "I thought it was just me and was too stupid to look up any news articles or anything, so I uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, disconnected and reconnected to my network, and was getting kind of pissed. Then I looked it up and was like, oh." While some users reported that they could already sign in but couldn't make any calls and instant message.

Sadly, Skype downtime has a great impact to all users especially that Holiday Season is coming. All people wanted is to reach their love ones anywhere without expecting to pay hefty rates. Thus, we hope and wish that Skype will be okay at the soonest time before Christmas.

Any updates on Skype at this moment?

According to Parkes of the The Big Blog, "We're working hard to restore full functionality to the Skype software, and hope to have more information to share soon."

Let's wait for the better then.
