Two days ago I woke up late and came across this product which I can" remember buying it. So as soon as my ex boyfriend arrived I asked him. He didn't know either. Well, maybe I bought it myself and forgetful about it. That product is
Skin White Power Whitening Face Cream Powder.
I got interested with it since it's kind of unique though, for local brands to showcase a face cream with powder finish. I decided to give it a try considering its only worth PHP 19.25 (sachet, 6g).
Here's what the sachet looks like:
 |
Love the packaging, one of the reasons why I got curious. |

Back of the packaging.

When it comes to:
Color: Natural Beige (as per packaging info). Just like any foundation with neutral hues
Smell: Good.
Texture: Smooth, non sticky upon application but as soon as it dries up, it becomes matte (powdery finish).
Here's what it looks like upon applying on my wrist.
 |
I squeezed just a pea size. It is thick in appearance but very light when you applied it. |
 |
As I applied it, you'll notice the water component which I guess, because of the moisturizer. |
 |
Pea size quantity covers most of the area of my wrist. It took for a while to dry. |
 |
After adding translucent powder. |
It did not cover well, so I added some translucent powder, which I normally do after applying my BB cream. I'm thinking if i can replace my BB cream or foundation since it claimed that it hides blemishes and dark spots giving you oily free face.
I decided to make an experiment and test if apart from coverage, it can substitute as primer for the eyeshadow palette. I used my
Maybelline eyeshadow, color brown.

I applied it twice. Color on top with the product. Lower portion, none. |
Test No.2:

On left side, base used is Skin White while on left is the DIY primer. One stroke only. |

to foundation or BB cream?

Exposed to flash. |
Verdict:
Money wise, it is a good choice. But rendering the result wanted, it failed. It didn't cover up any of my imperfection nor did it render moisturizing effect good to my skin since flakiness is apparent once it dried up. I don know if i has something o do with the powder finish. Is no compatible with dry skin. I believe his would work best to oily skin and who have no imperfections. I think this is best applied when you do retouch of your face and make up. Well, I can use it as base for my lids.
Rating: 1 out of five.
Suggestion:
Please improve this product in terms of cover up and moisture suitable for dry skin. Don't focus much on powdery finish.
