While Batman's movie is starting to make history as its first showing in theaters worldwide, one sad event took place last July 20, 2012 in Century 16 Theater in Denver, Colorado when a mad gunman fired his rifle at everyone at the cinema while watching the movie, "The Dark Night Rises". Witnesses told the policeman that the gunman just aimlessly fires his gun at anyone on the movie house. The gunman is wearing all black outfit and was also found to be wearing bullet proof vest with gas mask and he even dyed his hair in red saying that he is joker.
I've learned of this from a text message my bf receive from his brother last night.
I felt sad and dismayed as to how can one man make this violent act to innocent people regardless of age. A day which should have been good if not for his mercilessly acts suddenly it turned out nightmare. Why would he do that? I wonder what prompted him to do it? And how on earth was he able to bring those high powered guns into the theater without being caught by guard personnel's of the movie theater? How loosely is there security policies? And how can a 24 year old was able to obtain this guns easily? How terrifying this news can be?
I wanted to extend my deepest condolences to all the families who have lost their loved one because of this incident.
